The scale uses bioelectrical impedance (BIA). It’s best for tracking trends. For consistency, measure at the same time daily, barefoot, on a hard surface, and avoid heavy meals/workouts 2–3 hours prior
Smart scales use a small electrical signal. Anyone with a pacemaker or similar device should consult a physician and avoid BIA mode. During pregnancy, use weight-only mode and skip body-fat readings.
Measurements store temporarily on the scale/app and sync the next time your phone is nearby with Bluetooth on.
